How not to get Bored on Board

When we tell people about our trip one of the main things they will say is “you must get bored while sailing”. But you don’t, there is always have something to do. If you don’t keep yourself busy you can get seasick really quickly. One of the main things to occupy yourself with is reading. Scrolling videos on a boat is not possible because you don’t have a lot of WIFI. And once you start doing something that you really enjoy, you get quickly detached from screens and your screen time plummets.

These are a few things we do, to not get bored on board:

1) We spend lots of time reading.

2) Find a second time occupation (at the moment, ours is crocheting)

3) Don’t hesitate to start a journal as journaling is really nice too and will help you remember all the great moments.

4) Chat about news, problems, anything.

5) Cleaning and tidying are also major occupations.

6) School takes up a lot of time.

7) Doodling.

8) Daydreaming when the boat tilts so bad you can’t do anything else.

Do you have any other ideas? We’d love to hear them! Leave a comment in the comments section below.
