Seeing the world through wonder-filled Eyes

In this section of our Blog Claire and Laura are entirely in charge. You will be able to discover some school inspired work such as poems, articles on cyclones and the slave trade, but most importantly you will be able to get a first-hand insight into what it is like for a ten- and twelve-year-old girl to be sailing to the other side of the world…

Why sailing around the world is great!

Going around the world is the best thing you could ever do with the flying fish jumping in and out of the water or the dolphins playing by the side of the boat, you will love that.

Imagine yourself in the Caribbean Islands with sun and joy. You will have experiences, memories and adventures that will last a lifetime.

You might be afraid or miss your friends, but you will make new ones, and you will be so happy when you overcome your fear. You will be ok! What could happen? Nothing bad.

In conclusion, sailing around the world is great for you and your family.

Laura (Persuasive Argument Homework)

Let the winds be in our favour

Let the waves forever waver

Let the seas be calm and steady

Let us always be the ready

For when the storm will rise the sea

Our sails be blown with luck and glee.

Claire (English Poetry Homework)

On the boat of a skipper from France

Were two girls who fancied a dance

But they had to work

So, they couldn’t twerk and dreamt of doing a break dance.
